Me want!!

Hello fellow minions! This week has been so busy for me. I had battle of the books competition at school. We almost made it to the finals...but didn't win! :( booooooooohooooooo!  I am in a team with another 5th grader and 2 4th graders. The other teams had all 5th graders. The book we read for it was White star a dog on the Titanic, by Marty Crisp.

Anyways then had a 6th grade math placement test for 2 days! If you do good on it you get put in higher level math. It was ok...don't  know what I got yet. Then I had to practice for my karate tournament, had dance and had a music show. I had to play my recorder with a bunch of other kids from other schools. It was at the middle school I will be going to this year. It was freezing on that day. And it was snowing. The show lasted 2 hours!!
So well that was my week. Yesterday I had a father daughter dance with my sister and dad. It was for girl scouts. We had to dress up and look all fancy. Last year I even got a corsage. But this year I told my mom I wanted to save that money for something else I wanted to buy.

The dance was ok. Last year was better. None of my girl scouts friends went to it??!?! I don't get why? Maybe cause it was snowing? Or just cause they were lazy...who knows... So I had none of my friends there. My sister had 5 friends there. The rest of the kids were all from other schools. We had a raffle, cookies popcorn, pop, and lots of other junk food.  The music was sooooo bad...it was a mom that was the dj. She put on really weird music from the 70's! Even my dad didn't know any of it. And she kept making comments over the microphone. She reminded me a little bit like 'aunt Petunia' from Harry potter. Hahahahhahahah! So after a pretty terrible dance we went home! hallelujah! My mom was home with Kenzo and Kimi.
She showed me some cool stuff she found online!!She showed me a video of the 2013 toy fair in New York. Why can't we live in New York?!? They have the coolest stuff happening there! I think it was like in January. They have some awesome toys coming out! But what I am totally looking forward to is the release of despicable me 2 toys!! Oooooh me want banana! It was minion stuff! I was like we need to go there nowwww! I will use my ninja power to transport us there! .....for some reason it didn't
 work!

Making Sock Bunnies!

So now I'm on spring break!! we have had alot of snow!! its awesome! my sisters and I had a snow ball fight already...and of course I won! hahahaahh (knee slapper!)
Its really cold outside! so today I decided to use my minion skills to make something! my mom helped me search on google. She worries about me finding inappropriate things online. One time at school we were doing a history project and I was researching online in the library and then all of a sudden one of my friends shouted my name and motioned for me to come over. They told me to look at the computer screen...and I almost passed out!!!! it was a photo of a naked guy jumping over a hedge!!!!!! like what the hasselhof quadricorn was he doing?!?! then a group of kids surrounded the computer laughing. Until a teacher came and saw it...then switched off the computer! I thought schools were supposed to block that kind of inappropriate stuff. So, Anyways my mom always helps me to do searches because of that.
we found something called Sock Bunnies, it looked pretty cute and we had all the stuff you needed to make it. You can do a google search for it or not. Here is my version of it:

 You need socks (just 1) the more colorful the better, but any will do. has to be long socks not short..you will need them to be long for the ears you'll see what I mean later. A piece of string/yarn to tie around neck. Black felt for eyes. White for teeth  (and for eyes if you want). Pink felt for nose. Any colorful ribbon to tie around neck, tacky glue or anything that will stick the felt to the sock. And finally some fluff/stuffing. 

 
Sorry I didn't take any pics of the next steps.So I'll explain what I did. First you stuff the sock with fluff. you stop just before the heel section. tie it  off with yarn/string. Then you stuff it some more to make the head.

Next you grab the long section and hold it up. With some scissors..(ask your parents for help if its too hard) cut a thin 'V' shape all the way down to where the stuffing is. If its too hard just cut a straight line down the middle (that's what my little sister did and it came out alright).

Next grab both pieces and make a knot.

This is what I used to stick the felt down.

Yippeeeeee...it stuck on! you can add white felt pieces to the eye to make it look cuter! but that's totally up to you!

Get a ribbon and tie it around and make a bow. And hey presto its ready!!! I love it! :)

The blue one is Kimi's, the pink one is Sachi's and mine is the yellow one. I think they are cute and super easy to do! have fun making them. You can add a pompom tail to them, but we didn't have any so thats why I didnt add it.

Baaaaaaa Baaaaaaaaaaaa

Hellooo..sorry i've been gone a couple of days..my life is sooo exciting, many ninja quests to go on. Many bad guys to catch!!! lol just kidding. So at school right now all everyone is talking about is Taylor swift. she is having a concert this weekend...i think. I actually wanted to go to it. But its all sold out :( even tried to use my ninja powers to get tickets from a radio show. but i think the minion in me was taking over and all i could think about was BANANAS!! ;) anyways, i like taylor swift, not as crazy about her as some of my other friends...but wanted to go cause i haven't really been to any concerts. My mom says she tried to get tickets...and... there will be many more concerts...after all i am 10..so i'm sure Taylor will have more concerts.

during recess we were singing some of her songs. And the boys were changing the words to the songs to make it funny. There's a you tube funny version. loveeee it ! hahahahha

The goat version!!! Baaaaaaaaabaaaaaaaaaaaaaa ( its kinda like a sheep sound but oh well!)
I could watch it over and over. my mom played in the car on the way home from school and we all made that sound too. Was so funny! i think they have a full goat version too. I need to check it out.
